i need a paragraph about why mary maloney is intelligent in roald dahls "lamb to the slaughter" story including commentary and evidence.

Mary took very careful thought on what to do next, and by doing so she got away with the murder of her husband. Mary was angry that Mr.Maloney was gonna leave her, she was pregnant and that wasn’t a good image to be pregnant without a husband back then so she thought the only other reasonable option was to strike him over the head with a lamb leg, leaving him dead. She was in shock at what she had just done, she thought carefully on how to plan this out, she knew she needed an alibi, so she touched up her makeup and left for the market. She planned out what to say and said it with her usual bright expression, she talked as if she was just regularly buying items to make her and her husband dinner. When she got home she called the detectives, when they checked Mary’s alibi of course the grocer said there was no way she could have done it and it checked out. She cried as she answered the questions and made it seem as if she didn’t see this coming. They searched for the murder weapon on the property because they believed it might be there and after awhile of searching Mary offered them dinner, lamb leg, she was very clever to have had them eat the murder weapon, and with that she got away with her husbands murder
