Write a short Essay - no longer than 2 pages maximum - explaining why these two very different writers were each good examples of the Romantic Movement. 2) Compare/Contrast at least 3 out of the 5 Elements of the Early Romantic period, using "The Devil and Tom Walker" and "Thanatopsis" as your source material.
You do not need to give (and do not give) a plot summary, just launch right into your Elements. Cite to passages from the text to support and explain.
3) The 5 different elements (as seen on p.333) are: Nature, Individualism, Emotion or Passion, Imagination/Imagery, the Supernatural.
4) For full credit, in addition to the requirements above and as always, your essay needs to use appropriate academic language and be error free. Space between your paragraphs, and use a conventional looking 12 point font.
5) And yes, the paper length is 2 pages MAXIMUM, not minimum. This is done to keep your writing concise and on point. (So does that mean you could just write like 1 or 2 measly paragraphs and be done? Well, you could, but highly doubtful to impossible that would be sufficient to cover everything, so...)
