Healthy Eyes Here are some things you can do to take care of your eyes.

Let your eyes relax
Do your eyes hurt after you read for a while? This can be a sign of eyestrain. Here is one way to reduce it. Make sure that you have plenty of light when you read.

Protect your eyes
On the job or in your spare time, when you work with machinery wear good eye protection. Good protective eyewear should cover both the front and the sides of your eyes.

Eat the right foods
The advice your mother gave you may be true. Eating vegetables and fruits that are rich in vitamins C and E may help your eyes. These vitamins have been shown to help prevent cataracts. A cataract is cloudiness over the lens of your eye. Some evidence shows that these vitamins might help keep the macula healthy, too. The macula is a small part of your eye that helps you focus. Carrots, spinach, kiwis and mangoes are all rich in vitamins C and E.

See the doctor
Have your eyes checked regularly. People under age 40 should see an eye doctor once every two years. People over age 40 should see an eye doctor once a year. And any time you notice a major change in your vision, see an eye doctor.

If music be the food of love, play on; give me excess of it, that, surfeiting, the appetite may sicken, and so die. that strain again! it had a dying fall: o, it came o'er my ear like the sweet sound, that breathes upon a bank of violets, stealing and giving odour! now read the excerpt from "the love song of j. alfred prufrock." for i have known them all already, known them all: have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons, i have measured out my life with coffee spoons; i know the voices dying with a dying fall beneath the music from a farther room. what does the phrase "dying fall" most likely mean in both excerpts
