From Odysseus's criticism, we can infer values that were important to the ancient Greek. According to him, Cyclopes deserve to be seen as louts because they have no laws, no rituals, no order, no system. They do no confer, discuss, work, sow. They are no better than beasts. Clearly, Odysseus and the ancient Greeks valued order, law, tradition, social organization, ad stability.
