Jordan bounced his basketball on the way to Miguel's house. It was finally Saturday. As he turned the corner, something wet touched his
arm.
"Oh no!" he moaned. "A raindrop. I guess basketball is out."
The raindrops fell quicker. jordan hurried up the steps and rang the doorbell.
Miguel opened the door. "Hey Jordan," he said in a friendly way.
Then, he saw the basketball in Jordan's hand. Miguel frowned. He shared his friend's disappointment.

the fastest runner in her class. At her school's field day, she won a first-place ribbon in the 100-meter dash. Next werek, Grace
would race against girls from other schools around the county. She wondered if she could win.
