One of the things you may not have ever considered is that your teacher must preview all texts you read in class to ensure they meet the learning goals in the unit. In order to determine if “The Right Kind of House” is a good story to use in class, your teacher has asked you to preview it and analyze how well it demonstrates the essential skills from this unit. After reading “The Right Kind of House,” respond to the evaluation prompts to show how it aligns to the required skills for Unit 1 of 8th grade ELA. Your responses should: include a detailed explanation, provide evidence from the story, and end with a conclusion sentence.
You may make a copy of this Doc and write your responses on your copy, or you can create a slideshow on Google Slides with only 4 slides- one response per slide. It is up to you! Just make sure you submit your responses in Canvas by Thursday (10/15) at noon!
