Decide how far along the plot pyramid the novel has progressed. For each plot stage that has already occurred—or already begun to occur—list the details that best represent that stage. Don’t forget to include exposition details, such as those related to the setting and the characters. When you add details that represent the novel’s rising action, list events in the order they occur—with the most recent events closest to the top of the pyramid. Finally, make a prediction: What event could become the novel’s climax?

Chapter 1. In the beginning it started with little man walking to school In his Sunday clothes with his siblings. Then, they meet TJ who told them a scary story about a man that almost got burned to death.  

Chapter 2. In this part of the chapter their dad has come to say hi. Cassie, Christopher-john, and Little man all run towards to the barbed wire fens Mama said “don’t you go through the fens” they acted like they didn’t hear her. When they got there they did a big group hug, after that they were greeted by a man named Morrison, who is frighteningly large and covered with scars.

Chapter 3. This chapter is about the Logan kids digging a hole where the tire of the white kids’ bus would get stuck. After they dug the hole, they just needed to wait for the bus to come. When the bus came they made the mud go everywhere. They only did this so they would make the white kids fell what they fell walking 1 hour to go to school.

Chapter 4. Cassie and her brothers sulk for a week after the bus incident. They feel very guilty but are determined not to confess. Finally, they learn from the always-gossiping T. J. that the white men were riding for a different reason that night. They are relieved.

Chapter 5. Cassie and her siblings have always wanted to go to the Strawberry market. She finally allows Cassie, Stacey and their friend T.J. to go with her while she sells some goods. Big Ma drives the wagon to the stalls where the market takes place, and parks in the back.
