58:
What is the topic of this passage?
Read the passage from Eleanor Roosevelt's speech on
the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human
Rights.
Man's desire for peace lies behind this Declaration. The
realization that the flagrant violation of human rights by
Nazi and Fascist countries sowed the seeds of the last
world war has supplied the impetus for the work which
brings us to the moment of achievement here today.
O War has existed throughout history.
O Nazism and fascism cause war.
O Recent events have been horrific.
O The UDHR will help prevent war.
