I've always been told that no man can ever be trusted but I didn't pay attention to the warning until I met Francis.

We met at a summit in Dallas, sometime in 2019. I fell in love with his smile and I thought we were meant to be together. He told me he was the CEO of an establishment but I never knew he was not just a chronic liar but a fraudster.

As time goes on, we became close and we got to know each other better. I relocated to his apartment, we were happy together; everything was going smoothly until I heard a hard knock on my door on 25th of July, 2020.

I peeped through the peephole; I was surprised to see police officers on my door. What could have happened? I said to myself. The police officers introduced themselves and they showed me their warrant of arrest.

I never knew the man I've been living with is a fraudster; I never knew he had been lying to me, all this while. Francis was arrested, charged to court and sentenced to 25 years imprisonment.

I thought I had found love and happiness; but now I know that no man can be trusted.
