when goal setting you need to go through the smart steps.

specific: goals should be simplistically written and clearly define what you are going to do.

measurable: goals should be measurable so that you have tangible evidence that you have accomplished the goal.

achievable: the goal should be something that you can reach but that takes you outside of your comfort zone and pushes you.

results focused: this goal should be something that is driven by the end result or outcome.

time: the goal should have an end date that is realistic for the goal you have set. for this assignment the time will be four weeks.

1. write down your goal. your goal should be clear, specific, and measurable. it should describe exactly what you want to change or achieve. it should have a realistic timeline, be achievable, be in your control, and tell what you will do, not what you won't do.

2: develop an action plan. your plan should include specific steps to be taken to achieve your goal; state when and how often the steps will be done; and how you will measure progress toward your goal. the more detailed your plan, the more likely you are to be successful. action plan should have 3-5 steps

3. establish a support system. decide who could you to reach your goal by cheering you on, listening to you, and offering support and . it could be one person or several together. the right people might be friends, siblings, parents, or mentors. name your support system and what they will do for you

4. reward yourself along the way. as you complete steps to achieve your goal, reward yourself for good effort. rewards can be anything you find enjoyable that can motivate you to continue toward your goal. list what your reward will be and when you will reward yourself

5. evaluate your goal. after you completed your goal at the end of the four weeks you will evaluate if you met your goal or not. this evaluation will be done in your last journal entry and you will be reminded of that.
