The roaring twenties was a decade of economic growth and widespread prosperity, driven by recovery from wartime devestation and deferred spending. Americans started to support the idea of the 19th Amendment(the law that gave women the right to vote). American spending soared. It was very easy to gain wealth back then. The Wall Street Crash of 1929 ended the era, as the Great Depression created years of hardship.
