SBI3UE Culminating Activity “The Big Ideas in Biology” 1) Your task is to write, in your own words, 3 "big ideas" of this course. 2) You must provide a short description of each "big idea". 3) Each description must connect at least two units together. ie: evolutionary development of the mammalian heart. You could certainly connect more units together if you can think of a way to do so. Set up your responses like this: Big Idea - "A main theme of the course connecting two or more units" - (2-3 sentences.) Why - Why is this big idea important to biology? Why did you choose this particular connection. ie: Applications in daily-life, research or medicine? (1 or 2 paragraphs) How - How are the units we studied tied to the big idea AND how are the units tied to each other? (1 or 2 paragraphs) What - What are the actual details we studied that led you to this conclusion? Can be in a chart with point-form notes or in a paragraph. (think of the "What" section as proof of the "How" section). Conclusion - optional but can wrap up your point nicely Works Cited - only if you used any outside sources. Please use APA format. ^^You will be doing THREE (3) of these.^^
