7-9 minute persuasive speech a Continuing Education The purpose of this speech is to change or reinforce the beliefs, attitudes, and/or actions of the audience. The organizational pattern must be Problem-Solution or Motivated Sequence. This not a “pet peeve” speech or speech of complaint. You will be evaluated on your use of the appropriate organizational pattern (problem/harms/cause/solution or Motivated Sequence), the quality of your sources, your delivery, and your audience analysis (choose a topic in which you think a change will be possible for your audience). A typed, full-sentence outline preparation outline with works cited page will be posted to this assignment window in Blackboard by the due date. At least eight sources of information (not including sources for presentation aids) are required. At least two visuals aids are required for this presentation. Unless you do a PowerPoint. Again, delivery will be conversational (extemporaneous) with the use of a speaking outline on note cards. PLEASE DO NOT READ YOUR SPEECH WORD FOR WORD!! You will deliver your speech from a speaking outline (keyword) on note cards
