   This excerpt from the poem, "New Wings" really speaks to me. At first I wondered why, but then I realized that I was envisioning myself as if the poem was written about me. The poetic genius of Alice Miller really shines through in this amazing piece as her beautiful use of the lexicon is boasted upon us. It really makes me think and imagine every vivid detail that she puts out.

in "people in peace, not profit and war" chrisholm uses inductive reasoning for her argument against defense spending by stating that the new administration, like most americans, wanted to invest in social objectives, so they must not want to prioritize defense spending. mr. nixon said "we can delay no longer in launching new approaches to the problem that beset them", but chrisholm points out that the programs were delayed anyways.
