PLEASE HELP What is the impact of the last paragraph on the passage?

Glen Curtiss was a pioneer in the U. S. aircraft industry. He was born on May 21, 1878 in New York. Curtiss's formal education lasted only till the eighth grade, but this did not suppress his natural curiosity and talent for mechanics. Curtiss started working in the bicycle business as a bicycle messenger and racer. By his teens, Curtiss was already a champion racer. By 1901, he developed an interest in building motorcycles using internal combustion engines. In an internal combustion engine, the fuel entering the engine burns at a high temperature and releases large amounts of heat and energy, which powers the vehicle. He made his first carburetor, a machine that mixes air and fuel for the engine, from a tomato soup can. By 1902, Curtiss was building his own brand of motorcycles with three other employees from his modest shop. In 1903, he set a speed record on his motorcycle by riding at 64 miles per hour for a mile. On January 23, 1907, Curtiss set a record at 136.3 miles per hour at Ormond Beach, Florida. It earned him the title of the "Fastest Man on Earth," which was not broken until 1930. His success at this race made him popular as an expert at constructing motorcycles and engines. Curtiss's interest in flying began in 1904 when he supplied engines to aeronaut Thomas Scott Baldwin. An aeronaut is a person who operates or travels in an airship or balloon. Curtiss's engines were a success, which made Baldwin the first successful pilot of a primitive airship. Alexander Graham Bell, a scientist who invented the first usable telephone, invited Curtiss to join the Aerial Experiment Association (AEA). At the AEA, Curtiss was a co-designer for some test aircrafts. Curtis chiefly designed AEA's third aircraft, the famous "June Bug," and he also became the test pilot for it. On July 4, 1908, he entered a competition for the Scientific American Trophy, where he flew "June Bug" for a distance of 5,090 feet and won the trophy. Later in life, he became the leading manufacturer of aircraft engines and also designed flying boats. These achievements were a testament to Curtiss's genius.

A.) It states the fact that Glen Curtiss always wanted to meet the pioneers of the aircraft industry to make an aircraft he wanted to pilot.
B.) It suggests that Glen Curtiss always wanted to become an expert at making motorcycles and their engines.
C.) It emphasizes the shift in Glen Curtiss's career from a motorcycle maker to an aircraft engine designer.
D.) It shows the shift in Glen Curtiss's career by stating the fact that he went from being an unknown person to becoming a celebrity.
