Strong and tough

swift and free

all the things that I want to be

Majestic and powerful

Things that you see

all things I need to be

Planted and unmoved

Rooted down by the wind

All the things I should really be

Grows in colors but yet loose it all

and still it remains tall and has no fallen

all the things I want to be

yet still it is cut and hurt and abused

but it will continue to grow

and not light a fuse

all the things i try to be

stand firm it has

unmoved by others

all the things that I need to be

so when my teacher asked me what i wanted to be

I simply said with my head held high

I want to be a tree

think that I shall never see
