I need to do a To Kill A Mockingbird Argumentative Essay and the planning is going well but I need help in coming up with a counterclaim for it My teacher gave me this : "Write an essay in which you argue whether or not it made sense for Atticus, based on his character, to have taken a stand to defend Tom Robinson?"
My claim in a nutshell is that it made sense for him to defend him, but I can't see why it wouldn't make sense
