Question 2
Read the paragraph. Which choice BEST states Ruthie and Spencer's
point of view toward their dad's coming home?
They are glad he's coming, but
they hardly remember him.
O "Ruthie, Spencer," Mom called to us one evening, "come in
here." I thought we had done something wrong, but when
we got to the kitchen, Mom's eyes were sparkling. "Dad's
coming home!" she announced. "He'll be here late tomorrow
night" Spencer and I started whooping and jumping around
and hugging Mom. Dad was in the army, and we hadn't
seen him since Thanksgiving. It was almost summer.
They are excited but also worried
about his coming home.
They have missed him and are
very happy he's coming.
They are surprised and don't
really believe he's coming.
