When I become intelligent like Dr. Strauss says, with three times my I. Q. of 68, then maybe I'll be like everyone else and people will like me. What do Charlieā€™s thoughts and feelings tell readers? He is hopeful that someday he will fit in with others. He wants to get back at the people who are cruel to him. He is beginning to accept himself for who he is. He knows that peopleā€™s behavior will never change.
