Both “A Sound of Thunder” and “The Most Dangerous Game” have people going on safaris/hunts. Are there any similarities between the ideas of the two stories and why they have their main characters hunting?

From the titles, you can see that the first one might be related to hunting like thunder, meaning a great hunter and the most dangerous game might be about a hunter hunting animals which is a dangerous game.
