According to Anne, Mr. Dussel is always complaining about how she does not have good manners and how nothing is right about her. Anne is part of the family who welcomed him to the Annex, even so he doesn't treat her properly. Another complication created by him was that changes in the family's schedule had to be made. Anne had the room for herself in the mornings, but that had to change because Mr. Dussel said that he is not at his best in the morning.
