Healthcare costs in the United States are on
the rise. Some people say that a universal
healthcare system would bring costs down
and increase access to care. Others say it
would be too expensive and would reduce the
quality of care. Examine editorials from both
sides of the argument. Then write a five-
paragraph essay in which you compare and
contrast each argument in terms of
objectivity and the types of evidence
presented. Evaluate and explain how the
sources use effective evidence to support
their claims.

"The editorial that argues in favor of universal health care is more effective because it effectively disproves the counterargument. it includes different types of evidence, and uses more than one rhetorical appeal.

In the essay you would talk about how it uses statistical and anecdotal evidence. As well as how this editorial uses logos and pathos.

If you wanted to argue for the other side you could say:

"The editorial that argues in opposition of universal health care is more effective because it uses all three types of rhetorical appeal, has a clear claim and reasons, and it presents facts to support the emotional aspect"
