Read the passage, then answer the question that follows.

We visited New York’s Adirondack Park this summer. At over six million acres, it is the nation’s largest state park. It was hard for us to believe that it is even larger than Grand Canyon National Park. You were amazed. You found over two thousand miles of trails to hike. We think that the Adirondacks should be on every hiker's list of places to go.

We learned that there are 46 mountains in the area that are four thousand feet tall or higher. In 1925, brothers Robert and George Marshall became the first people to climb all 46 peaks. We found out that almost nine thousand people have become Adirondack 46ers by climbing all those mountains.
