Your best friend comes to you with a problem: He is not doing well in school because he has too much going on after school. He wants to improve his grades without giving up his after-school activities.

What are the three general time-management techniques that you can suggest to him?

Set up a list of what he needs to do for that day.

Be sure to use the extra free time you have to work on school. Such as study hall and even on the bus to and from school.

If needed find a way to cancel after school activities until his grades improve. School must come first.

Don't use any electronics until schoolwork is done.

Be realistic with what he can achieve in a day.

Set times in his calendar made just for school.

Set up a ladder of importance. Such as what needs to be done tonight? What will take the longest? What is the hardest to work on? Then set up from important to least important. That way he can take care of what's important right away.
