Narrated from the point of view of the younger son Panchito, the whole story revolves around how he viewed and feels about his family's life.

Throughout the story, the narrator used the first person narrative voice, constantly using "I", "We" etc which all suggests that the whole story is only from is own perspective. His thoughts and approaches, his feelings and ideas and opinions take over the narration, from his own point of view.
