As Mr. and Mrs. White have very different opinions about what to do with the remaining wishes and after her insistence on wishing for their dead son coming back to life, this creates an important moment of tension and suspense in the story since the reader does not know what is gonna happen at the end what would they do? is it their son the one at the door?
