In The Man to Send Rain Clouds, we take a look of a story of Laguna Pueblo Native Americans whose base is made out of real events in New Mexico Indian Reservation. Ken and Leon have a grandpa Teofilo who just peacefully died while herding sheep. They start preparing him for the burial in a traditional way of Laguna Tribe. Later on, Louise, Leon`s wife, proposes that it would be good to call Father Paul so he could sprinkle holy water onto the grave, in case Teofilo gets thirsty in the afterlife. At first Leon disagrees with this, as holy water is a part of Christianity, but then he thinks that would help Teofilo to send them rainy clouds which would end the dry period. So he visits Father Paul and asks him to be a part of the burial, but only including the holy water. Father Paul is put in a tough position. At the one side, there is his mission to spread his religion and beliefs, but on the other hand he knows that Laguna Pueblo people are closely stick to their tradition and he does not want to be in their eyes someone who tries to separate them from it and also he respects their tradition. So though he wants to spread Christianity, he is aware that forcing them will do no good, so he agrees to take the chance and contribute to Teofilo`s burial.
