Curfews have been used effectively in many towns to reduce crime. High school sophomore Mandy Jenkins says, "My parents don't really make me follow the curfew." Some towns report lower crime rates simply because of the location (such as a rural community ).

I think it is coherence. because the statement about not following curfew doesnt make sense followed by the next sentence.

faulty coordination occurs when the writer gives equal importance two different ideas (clauses) which in fact are not equivalent. in order to correct a misplaced clause or idea, the writer can place less important or emphatic ideas in a relative clause as in the previous sentence.
