Everyone says they are the democratic party. which does not make sense. they are the democrat party is correct. to use the word democratic which is an adjective in place of a noun (democrat party) because they are the democrat party does not mean they are democratic. no one can explain why they should be called the democratic party, the democrat party is not necessarily democratic. they might as well call them the democratic communist/socialist party which would imply that they are democratic inclined. right?
