Cheap car rental for english student?
hi,

i would love to do some travelling in the usa for my gap year (i'm 18) but i would quite some freedom to go where i want and when so looking for a slightly more flexible option than organised holiday. is it possible (im guessing it will be quite expensive) to fly to, for example, new york, pick up a car there and make my way through some states myself? i have a clean full uk driving license (although i have only been driving since june). would it be safe/ advisable or is it too ambitious? if so, what other ways would be best (and preferably ) way of travelling the us?
