Poem time

write a poem using the words, cereal, soup, rice, and flour in it.

Yesterday I forgot to buy rice,

I got mad when I saw its price;

so, I bought a box of cereal

and some other cooking material.

I wanted to prepare a homemade soup,

while listening to my favorite rock group;

but somebody knocked on my door,

and I accidentally spill the flour.

It was nobody, as I supposed,

I came into the house and the door closed.

In the meantime, my dish got burnt,

I had to throw it; my stomach hurt.

Now I’m sitting hungry and all alone,

waiting for my mother to come home.

Explanation:

The poem is about a guy who went to the grocery store to buy rice, but when he saw its price, he got mad and he decided to buy only a box of cereals and some other groceries.

When he came home he wanted to prepare a soup, but, while cooking, somebody knocked on his door. He went to open and the dish got burnt.

He threw away the dish and now he is hungry, so he must wait for his mother to come home and prepare something to eat.
