the swell started filling in on wednesday from hurricane jose we decided a drive to cocoa wasn’t necessary because the treasure coast would be seeing overhead surf by thursday. due to dan’s van being broken down. we needed transportation. so, we agreed meet at a place that was near where all of lived. juno pier by 6 am on thursday. when we arrived, it was already pumping the waves were so big that we had to run out to the end of the pier and jump off because no one could have paddled through that break to get outside. anyway, that’s how it happened. when i jumped off of the pier i landed right on my board and broke it smack in two. no more board.
