Exiled!

day 1 of exile no. 1

cheeseball has proven much more cunning than i ever imagined. i now understand as i gaze from this cold patio at her orange figure curled into a ball before the warm hearth that i should never have trifled with her. my mistress does not allow fur feet on the kitchen counter, so someone had to sound an alarm, and i can't it that i can only bark. by the time the lady entered the kitchen, the clever cat had long disappeared to the family room. i was alone, yapping hysterically for "no good reason," and now i'm exiled to the outdoors for all eternity. oh, wait! my lady is opening the back door at last.

day 1 of exile no. 2

my mistress brought home a bell this week with the novel idea toward my "training." she speaks too quickly at times—okay, i never understand a word she says. she goes on about ringing the bell with my paw and "business." i don't work, so what "business" do i have to do? it was a befuddled idea and that crafty cat used my confusion to entrap me again! cheeseball graciously explained that the new rug was put there for me, and i was to ring the bell to alert my lady to come and clean up. so, here i am again in the outdoors for all eternity, and i haven't eaten in at least two hours!

day 1 exile no. 3

cheeseball must go! i thought after my last exile to the outdoors, which lasted at least 20 minutes, that all was forgiven and everyone would get along, but felines are not interested in getting along. they are only interested in getting the faithful dog in trouble time after time. i still don't know how she did it, but she managed to drag the tv remote to my warm bed and hide it under my cushion. when my lady was at the height of frustration, that cunning cat dislodged the remote just enough to get her attention. so, i'm in the great outdoors for all eternity . . again.
