Snowboarding

snowboarding is a winter sport in which a person slides down a snow-covered mountain on a board. some people do it just for enjoyment too. it began in the 1960's when a man in michigan fastened two skis together so that his daughters could slide on snow. with special boots attached, the popularity of the boards grew and, in 1998, snowboarding became an olympic sport. while it does take some skill, it is easier to learn than some similar sports. the most important thing is to find the right way to stand on the board then stay balanced once it starts to slide. snowboarding can be quite expensive, though. boards can be pricey and there are other costs involved with getting to where there is snow. for example, trips to ski resorts can take time and cost a lot of money for some people. also, falls can be painful, leaving bruises and broken bones. still, many people enjoy
