it's 1787 and there are many people coming up to this picnic, i'm deeply quiet because i am one of very few people who know this secret, i have heard we are having this picnic to support the new government today! which to me is bright and harmful to hear. but i shall not spill this huge secret to anyone but myself. so, i sit here in this wooden chair feasting with a bunch of neighbors. daring not to spill one of the most important secrets ever!

separation of power is the separation of branches under the constitution by the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of government.

the check and balances play the roles of the three branches of government. this system was created so that no one branch will overpower the other.

federalists want a new constitution passed because it will fix america's weak political structure. before the us constitution is implemented, the constitution being used is known as the articles of confederation.

the anti-federalists are worried that the constitution gives too much power to the federal government. having a strong central government caused problems. this is why the anti-federalists are fearful of this type of system.
