I'm working on this assignment were i have to make a speech. 2-3 minutes or so. and i'm having trouble looking for ideas to make up my speech. do any of you have any great ideas or at least have made a speech before to know what topics to write about? i need asap. you!

Who they are - age, cultural background, social status etc. By anticipating your audience's characteristics, you can choose and trim your topic to make it more relatable to them. Second, choose something that you know well or, in case you feel insecure about it, do some researching. When you actually know what you are talking about, you feel and sound more secure. That way, the audience is more likely to be engaged. Finally, anticipate questions your audience could have about the subject and try to answer them in your speech. Even if it is a brief one, offer them the information they need.

Assuming that your audience is comprised of high school students - you can trim this down a bit further, of course -, maybe one of the following topics might be of interest:

- Why teens never seem to get enough sleep;

- How to stop procrastinating;

- It is ok not to know what to do with your life;

- How you can help a friend who's going through a tough time.
