Influence of Romanticism

First of all, we have to know something about this period and cultural movement so we can talk about its influence in this, our century.

Romanticism was a period of late 18th and early 19th century and it was an art, intellectual and literature movement.

An Important thing for understanding this movement and period is the appreciation of freedom. It was important for all people to have freedom of speech. Important things were education, patriotism, liberalism and radicalism, but also and nationalism. People were expressing their emotions freely and the bullet point was often on their emotions.

So, we can say that in our 21. century the most important thing someone as  Romantic can have is an expression of everything that they think about. This century Romantics in the cycle of life would appreciate the value of education as one of the most meaningful things, also art, music, equality and, imagination.

These people would fight all of the norms of behavior that were imposed by some other people and they wouldn't afraid to show emotions or feelings whatever they were like, bad emotions such as suffering, pain, fear, misunderstanding. They would fight for rights for all people and equality of all. In the cycle of life, Romantics would love nature and everything about it. Back then, romantics were showing always more appreciation for small towns, villages, forests and they would reject all the material things that we have nowadays because the key is knowledge, morals and, culture.

A romantic would not be one who violates today's law but one who wants equality and freedom for all people.
