Writers use direct characterization in a story by revealing the traits, thoughts, comments, reaction, and actions of the characters in a direct manner. Direct characterization is where the writer tells the reader about character's motivation which refers to what characters want, love, and hate, etc.

so, the only theme of "birdfoot's grampa" by joseph bruchuc is that as a human being one should always remember the value of every life on earth.

the grampa is stopping the car again and again to save those little toads from washing away in the heavy rain is an act of kindness and humanity.

and the reason being is because she get me in trouble for the smallest things that i really don't be doing all the time it be my friends that's around me.and i love to do things that other people but when she get on my nerves i don't talk to no one i just sit there and do my work half the time.
