I am doing this project currently and I'm deciding to leave this here for the future. This script isn't the best so it would be better if you altered it yourself and make it much better.
The mood I gave this.. well it really isnt a mood. The theme was that Creon has to choose between his sister and the city. That's all. Sorry.
LOCATION: At the Oracle of Delphi/ Temple of Apollo
TIME OF DAY: Early morning
Enter Creon.
CREON:
My dear Lord Apollo. Â
Please hear my prayers
for my king seeks your advice.
Creon bows down in front of the shrine.
Enter Apollo
APOLLO:
Rise my child and heed my words.
Tell your king that King Laius was given a prophecy
by a prophet long ago. He warned Laius that Â
if he ever fathered children, that the baby would
grow up to kill him and marry his mother.
To avoid such a shocking outcome, King Laius
sorrowfully ordered one of his servants to kill the baby.
*Creon’s expression remained neutral as he paced back and forth.*
CREON:
My lord, what does this mean?
APOLLO:
It means that you have two choices.
Either tell your king that he is the one that is
plaguing his kingdom or keep this to yourself. Â
Oedipus is the child of the prophecy. Â
*Creon steps closer to Apollo*
CREON: Â
And if I don’t tell him? What should I say?
He’ll get suspicious. I can’t tell him.
It’ll crush my sister.
APOLLO:
What is more important to you?
Your sister or your city?
*Apollo gave Creon a blank look,
as he wasn’t going to judge him for his actions*
CREON:
What do I tell my king, my lord?
APOLLO:
Tell him to not fret if you wish to keep Â
this a secret. It’s in your hands.
If you wish to tell him, tell your king
that he must be driven out of the city. Â
In order for the plague to end.
That he is the murderer of Laius and the cause Â
for why the city is dying.
He is the plague.
CREON:
If you say so my lord.
*Creon bows to the God Apollo and soon Apollo puts a laurel wreath on his head*
APOLLO:
Go my child and give your king the dreadful news.
*Creon gets up and makes his way back to his king*
