political activism barely exists at my high school. during election years, there might be a few kids who wear t-shirts in support of their candidate, but that is it. this fall i turned eighteen, and the lack of interest really began to frustrate me. there was not a young democrats nor a young republicans group among the countless after-school organizations. i believed that i could generate student interest in politics with a little marketing, so i made ten posters advertising the mysterious young radicals club.

In our case, the writer is narrating the thoughts they had of the election years while he was in high-school. Since the narration is completely personal and contain emotions and opinions, we can rule out choice 1. Since they is narrating the events from their point of view (first person), we can rule out choice 2 as well. Also, there are no fictional characters. Since they is remembering the events of their life, all the characters are real people; therefore we can rule out choice 4.

tantalus murdered his son and fed him to the gods because he was angry with the gods. the gods punished him by putting him in a pool of water that evaporates when he tries to drink and having fruit hang just out of his reach.
