part 2: exposition
directions: use the answers from part 1: brainstorming to write your exposition paragraph. this should introduce the main characters, the conflict, and the setting. be sure to include descriptive details.

One of the most major conflicts I have faced in my life has to do with my inner self. I grew up normally, but middle school threw me a bit of a curve ball; I began questioning myself and who I was.

The protagonist (will most likely be yourself, so you can use your name or one of the two I put) is Maybelle Elien/Ryan Truit.

The protagonist (personalize as needed) has short brown hair and brown eyes. They are quite small for their age, standing at 5'0. They usually wear whatever feels comfortable to them.

(Personalize as needed) The protagonist's age is 14 years old. They enjoy playing the flute and ukulele, and occasionally try their hand at piano. Creative writing is their favorite thing to do, and they also do art once in a while. The school they go to is in a small town, and is not widely known: (this is a made up name, obviously) Deartown Bright Middle School. They live on (made up, again) Backstreet Lane, in Deartown, KY.

The protagonist's attitude and personality are quite unexpected. (personalize as needed) They are quite bold and courageous, and never let anybody push them around. They love to be social, but also enjoy their time alone. They can attract attention if they'd like to, but usually opt to be a watcher. They can be very funny and kind, as long as you don't get on their bad side.

(I've made all this up, so change whatever you'd like to) The antagonist is named Ashyln Fierra/Nathaniel Owens.

The antagonist is at a medium height for their age, around 5'6. They have curly blonde hair and green blue eyes. They're quite small weight-wise, but a lot stronger than they look. They dress to impress, and usually stick out in a crowd.

The antagonist's age is 15, and they go to Deartown Bright Middle School as well. They live in Deartown, KY as well, but live in a different neighborhood called Waterwell. They enjoy singing and dancing, and have a natural talent for painting. Their favorite thing to do is go on walks with their dog.

The antagonist's personality is sort of shy but also outgoing. With their friends, they crack jokes and usually take on the role of the advice-giver of the group; however, around strangers, they are quiet and reserved, usually acting very polite.

The conflict that our protagonist faces (make up any you'd like, this is just my idea) is that they had bad blood with the antagonist in the past, and moved just to find that the antagonist had transferred schools as well.

The conflict is caused by the antagonist and protagonist's previous fall-out in friendship. This was caused by the antagonist ignoring the protagonist's need for help and support.

Both the protagonist and antagonist are involved in the conflict.

The protagonist tries to respond by ignoring the situation.

The outcome of the protagonist's response is that they aren't able to ignore it for long, and end up getting in a fight with the antagonist.

You can introduce the characters by beginning with focusing on the protagonist's move and why they moved. Then skip to their first day of school, where their homeroom is where they run into the antagonist.

The events that will happen will start with the protagonist ignoring the antagonist. Then, the antagonist starts leaving rude notes on the protagonist's desk. Then, one day the protagonist snaps and starts a fight with the antagonist after school.

The climax for the protagonist will be the fight after school.  

The events that will take place in the falling action will include the fight being broken up, and both of the characters being taken into the principal's office. Their parents are called in, and they are forced to make up as a result.

The conflict will be solved when the antagonist ends up apologizing sincerely and the protagonist accepts it. They end up being friends again.

The point of view that could be used for this story is either first-person or third-person. The protagonist may be the best character to tell the story.

The selected point of view will influence the readers' knowledge by giving them inside information about the protagonist's thoughts and feelings towards the antagonist.

based on the biblical principle philippians 4: 13 "i can do everything through christ who strengthens me." i agree that it is through him that we are given the strength to cope with every situation.

and based on the biblical principle proverbs 16: 32 "better to get angry slowly than to be a hero. better to be even-tempered than to capture a city."   i agree with the author of the passage to the extent that the nobility of heart demonstrates the strength of a person. those who are contemptuous, get angry easily and show their anger toward others are really weak, but those who are noble and make sure to not hurt other people and their feelings are strong people.
