Write a letter to edward abbey that explains one of the arguments in canyon is unconvincing. your letter should be about four paragraphs long and each paragraph needs to to do a different job.

Dear Mr Abbey,

I am writing this letter in the hope of convincing that your argument is wrong . The adventure of making a trip down the canyon has not been lost, on the contrary, it has improved.

In your essay  you strive to persuade us that  that the dam has caused injustice to the people who might visit. You discuss the differences  between before and after . How  the dam has had effects on the landscape. I do not agree with you in that a vistor taking a trip to the Canyon, now will experience a difference as big as the difference between death and life. I do not think the landscape has changed to those extremes. Now that the pace of the water has changed the  intensity of the view is powerful in the reservoir .There is also the fact that it has enhanced it by providing a lake.

You talk about injustice because people can no longer buy a cheap trip down the river .This in not accurate because it is possible to take river trips that are much more interesting than before .The cost has increased a little but excursions to the area are not only for the rich. Everything is much more entertaining and fun.  

Finally, You argue that the canyon has been robbed of its “wild beauty.” I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You may have grown to love a landscape that remained unchanged but there are others that admire the great works of humanity such as a dam.
