Why do you think so much time and effort has been put into teaching you to read and write? why do you read and write on a regular basis?

Well, there are plenty of reasons why schools are teaching us to read and write. Reading and writing are essential life skills to have, whether you are applying for a job or even college later on. If you do not learn how to read and write, there would be many things you could not do. And as for why we read and write on a daily basis, our culture practically forces us to read and write. For Example, you have to read menus, write down a grocery list, read instructions given to you buy your boss, or write down a to-do list or packing list.
