In the story how the grimm brothers saved the fairy tale what is the authors purpose in writing this

The main idea fromthis text is that brothers Grimm´s tales had changed along their 7 editions,being the last one, quite different from the first. Then,the text finishes by stating that now that the bicentenary of those tales is being celebrated, we could take a look to see how different they are from what we know about them today.

As this is the main idea, the first option is not quite likely possible,because the text does not talk about the Grimms itself, but about how much the tales changed; the second option is not possible,because there are no excerpts from the tales; finally the last option is not that possible either, because the text does not regard the honors received by the brothers, but it mentions the honors received by the tales, so, as aconclusion, the most reasonable answer would be the third: to inform the reader  that the text will take a second look at Grimms´ original tales.
