You are anirudh, a student of class x. you observe that educated young boys and girls, these days are crazy after going to foreign countries. perhaps they are too materialistic and like to go abroad because they are well paid there. in the light of this, write a speech to be delivered in the morning assembly on ‘the problem of brain drain’.

Greetings fellow students.

Today, the economy and the industry is facing the increasing threat of losing the upcoming potential leaders. There is a massive diaspora of educated youth in search of better paying opportunities in foreign lands. As a youth myself, I have come to muse on what motivations drive my fellow country men to leave. I suppose everyone is in search of better opportunities. But, aren't there enough opportunities here? The education system that kindled the fire of knowledge in these people will suffer a great deal since everybody that becomes a professional is leaving. Is the economy in other countries better than what we have here? Is the government not doing enough of its job to keep improving employee benefits, company policies, working regulations and such that people are still looking outward instead of inward? As a youth, it alarms me to think that people ahead of me no longer believe that they can have a better opportunity in our country. It scares me to think that the industries we have here no longer attracts educated people because of so many factors. It makes me realize that in the future, I might make the same decision as them and leave the country in search of something better or far greater than what I currently have. Are all of these just manifestations of materialism? I think not. I can see that there are deep rooted problems here that needs to be addressed so that the industry can attract these educated people again. I just hope that when its my time, they figured it out already or they may lose me as well.
