Which trait distinguishes modern drama from traditional drama?

The difference is that in traditional drama, it is written in the strict format while modern drama follows a more flexible style where there is no outcome.  Traditional dramas in verse and prose format while modern dramas make use of verses.  The characters of modern drama are routine type characters while traditional drama characters are more distinct.
