The other day my teacher took up a comic book i'd been reading in class and told me i needed to be reading "real" books. now, granted, i should not have been reading any book in class other than what we were learning, but i think my teacher is wrong. comic books are just as "real" as any other book. comic books are often educational and teach students about subjects they did not know before. comic books are also extremely fun and popular and give students a positive reading experience. i'm going to recommend that we put some comic books on the summer reading list for next year. which sentence could best be added to this paragraph as a supporting detail? a) i think we should be allowed to read comic books anytime and anyplace that we want to. b) comic books have all the things a "real" book has--plot, character, conflict, and theme. c) my family has always been a big family of readers with full bookshelves all over our home. d) in addition to liking comic books, i also like to read non-fiction adventure stories for boys.
