Size the columns for a 10 story (12 ft stories) 100ft x 200ft office complex that has 20ft bays (5 in one direction and 10 in the other). Do the design with both precast and cast-in-place concrete columns. Just considering the concrete columns and $150/cubic yards for the cost of the reinforced concrete, what is the total cost difference for this structure? Comment on which one you would choose to construct for your structure? Why?For an interior column in the structure above, assuming total factored floor load is 120lb/ft2 and total factored roof load is 80lb/ft^2, size square footings for an interior column. Report the total volume of footing concrete and total footing concrete cost ($150/cyd) if this size footing is used for all columns?
