An engineer has invented a new type of 3D printable carbon fiber reinforced polymer. They 3D printed a carbon fiber reinforced bar. The bar has a length of 7.5mm and a cross section area of 5mm^2. They put the bar under uniaxial tensile test and obtained the datasheet (can be found CEE 108, Spring 2021 in the Folder of Week 2 at CCLE). Please (1) determine the linear elastic modulus of this material. (hint: plot the curve, locate the linear section and find the slope of that section). (2) find the elongation at an axial tensile loading of 200N.

Amass of 1.5 kg of air at 120 kpa and 24°c is contained in a gas-tight, frictionless piston-cylinder device. the air is now compressed to a final pressure of 720 kpa. during the process, heat is transferred from the air such that the temperature inside the cylinder remains constant. calculate the boundary work input during this process.
