A mass of 5 slug is attached to the end of a spring and then is connected to a motor that runs a driving force of f (t) = 2sin(2t) . If the spring constant is 20 lb/ft and mass is released 1 foot above equilibrium position at time t=0. Required:
a. Find the equation of motion if the mass is driven by an external force equal to f(t)=12cos2t+3sin2t.
b. Graph the transient and steady-state solutions on the same coordinate axes.
c. Graph the equation of motion.
